- 2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
- 1 1/4 pounds sliced deli corned beef
- 1 can sauerkraut (14 ounces), rinsed and drained
- 2/3 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 3 teaspoons caraway seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a floured surface, unroll one tube of crescent dough, shape it into a rectangle, and press it into a greased 13×9-inch baking dish.
- Bake the bottom crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a bowl, mix the rinsed sauerkraut with Thousand Island dressing until well combined.
- Layer half of the Swiss cheese over the baked crust, followed by corned beef and the sauerkraut mixture. Top with remaining Swiss cheese.
- Unroll the second tube of crescent dough, place it over the layers, brush with egg white and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
- Bake for another 12–16 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
