  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 1/4 pounds sliced deli corned beef
  • 1 can sauerkraut (14 ounces), rinsed and drained
  • 2/3 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 3 teaspoons caraway seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a floured surface, unroll one tube of crescent dough, shape it into a rectangle, and press it into a greased 13×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the bottom crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. In a bowl, mix the rinsed sauerkraut with Thousand Island dressing until well combined.
  5. Layer half of the Swiss cheese over the baked crust, followed by corned beef and the sauerkraut mixture. Top with remaining Swiss cheese.
  6. Unroll the second tube of crescent dough, place it over the layers, brush with egg white and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
  7. Bake for another 12–16 minutes until golden brown on top.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
