- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter using a pastry blender until the mixture resembles sandy crumbs.
- Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly browned.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and eggs until well combined. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour filling over the baked crust and return to the oven for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until set but slightly soft in the center.
- Allow bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting out with foil edges and cutting into squares.
